Now I know comedy is perhaps the most divisive category in entertainment and is pretty subjective so this might turn out to be a bash fest on me but I'm looking for comedy recs.

Some of my favorites are

Sunny in Philadelphia, First few seasons of archer, a lot of the office( not a fan of Steve Carnell so much as the Dwight/Jim parts) , Parks and Rec (Ron Swanson), Marvelous ms maisel

Some okay things I've watched
Friends, BBT, HIMYM, letterkenny (has some very random LOL moments), Fleabag

Shows I just haven't been able to get into
Arrested development, Seinfeld, into 6 episodes of community and I'm not sure about it, Bojack Horseman, Rick and Morty , what we do in the shadows

Shows that don't look like my cup of tea
Veep and Silicon Valley

Worst thing I've ever watched in my life
The Ranch and Two broke girls

"Shows you havent gotten into" meaning you havent gotten to watch it enough or you dont like the humor?

If it's the latter, AD's main complaint is that it takes half of s1 for you to know the family and the jokes but once you learn them the jokes richen and evolve. Which is why so many people are endeared to the show. It's one of the best comedies made because it's not surface level schtick.

That being said, Fraiser is on netflix. And if you want a sitcom that's your best bet. But AD is a narrative, not a sitcom; if you pick up s3e4 you wont get why tobias is painted blue or why lucille calls him a colored man.

Forgot about this show but I have watched 3 seasons. Strangely I don't find it all that funny though but entertaining enough of a story to watch.

Kind of like Barry for me, the humor is okay but I enjoy the story more.

Not many episodes but Fawlty Towers with John Cleese is funny. Just don't mention the war.

This. Big Bang might be more their style.

Future Man is probably the funniest science fiction comedy I've ever seen. Not as cerebral as Rick and Morty or Futurama, though.

Recently watched every season of F is for Family and loved it.

I've also watched about 50 episodes of The Goldbergs recently and love it as well as a child of the 80's. It's the only major network sitcom I can recall even watching or liking in a decade although it can get a bit redundant.
