With you. You figured 5 months was needed to get it right. Feels like they just crammed a bunch of stuff in a blender and then mailed it in.
Life's an endless party, not a punch card.

Haven't watched it yet, but this whole season has been a step down imo, outside of the Heist episode.

I was ready for the episode to end 10 minutes in. By far the worst episode.

Really been enjoying the season though.

To be fair, you have to have a very high IQ to understand Rick and Morty.

The humour is extremely subtle, and without a solid grasp of theoretical physics most of the jokes will go over a typical viewer's head.

1st 2 episodes were trash but last one is up there for me. The use of the song from The Color of Money was hilarious.

No you don't and no it isn't. You just have to like movies from the 80's but more specifically sci-fi.

I'm not big on sci fi, but love the show.

I also don't know sheet about physics though.

There's also Rick's nihilistic outlook, which is deftly woven into his characterisation- his personal philosophy draws heavily from Narodnaya Volya literature, for instance. The fans understand this stuff; they have the intellectual capacity to truly appreciate the depths of these jokes, to realise that they're not just funny- they say something deep about LIFE. As a consequence people who dislike Rick & Morty truly ARE idiots- of course they wouldn't appreciate, for instance, the humour in Rick's existential catchphrase "Wubba Lubba Dub Dub," which itself is a cryptic reference to Turgenev's Russian epic Fathers and Sons. I'm smirking right now just imagining one of those addlepated simpletons scratching their heads in confusion as Dan Harmon's genius wit unfolds itself on their television screens. What fools.. how I pity them.

And yes, by the way, i DO have a Rick & Morty tattoo. And no, you cannot see it. It's for the ladies' eyes only- and even then they have to demonstrate that they're within 5 IQ points of my own (preferably lower) beforehand. Nothin personnel kid

Agree with folks that this season was meh overall.

Though I will concede that Vat of Acid was my favorite episode of the entire series. Also, the the crew heist episode was awesome.

As a whole, the season was very hit and miss. I did think it finished strong with the last couple of episodes, but it definitely had some clunkers. Probably didn't help that Justin Roiland was splitting his time between this and Solar Opposites.
