#1 Godfather

All three Lord of the Rings are in the top 35

The Dark Knight is 14, Into the Spider-Verse is 65

No MCU movies. Good Will Hunting misses the cut.

I've only seen 10 of the top 50.

Also, with the vast amount of movies from the Pixar/Disney library, Wall-E is the highest of that list.

Spider Man: Into the Spider Verse significantly higher than Raiders of the Lost Arc? No Empire Strikes Back? No Spinal Tap? Garbage list.

Empire Strikes back is 29.
Missed that but stand by my original assessment.

I think the main problem is that those 14 data points aren't independent. There's an echo chamber effect for all cultural reviews.

List seems pretty good though

Rather see a decade by decade list in conjunction with overall

From this list I can see I have horrible taste in movies. I have no interest in a huge percentage of those movies.

Well, the special effects that originally were kind of innovative and covered up the fact that it had a total lack of plot other than "just show nostalgic items from the late 60s through early 80s with Ton Hanks inserted into the frame" have now become dated and look stupid, exposing the previous lack of plot.

Only 1 John Ford movie, and one of the most copied movies of all-time, The Searchers, isn't on there. That's eye-rolling.

The plot is sht, like saturday morning scifi channel horror movie, yet you praise it like its groundbreaking.

Sure, let's just disregard everything else about the movie that isn't plot.

The awesome synth score
The groundbreaking special / practical effects (At the time)
Cinematography
Great performances (Particularly by Michael Biehn)
Badass action scenes (Specifically the "action horror" scenes -- shootout at the police station, endoskeleton T-800 stalking Sarah at the end)

Even if the plot isn't your thing, there is a lot to appreciate. (Which is a pretty damn weird thing to have a problem with, btw. It's a perfectly good sci-fi plot.)

Seen 87 of them....

Man...did every Charlie Chaplin movie make it? Seemed like all of his were in the top 100.
