What a life. Yes a weird dude, but he absolutely deserves a spot on the Mt Rushmore of early Rock N Roll.

I love Oldies and have a huge playlist on my phone, Little Richard is in there a lot.

Long Tall Sally is a wailing, hard driving song today; imagine how revolutionary it was in 1956. Just great stuff.

He was one of the true pioneers of rock & roll.

The surprising part was that he had a son.

Upon further review it appears his son was adopted.

I wish I could find a better clip of this but here's a great story of Dave Grohl meeting Little Richard. Lemmy was a huge fan of Richard's too.

Wow, he was completely unrecognizable in his later years without all of the makeup.

Zeppelin's "Rock and Roll" would never happened without Richard's influence. Look up "Keep a Knockin" by Little Richard.

Little Richard actually played the Hilton Ballroom in CS in the early 90s. My dad is a huge fan and my brother and I took him to the show. One show I'm particularly glad I caught.

Edit-just did a little internet sleuthing and it was later than I thought. January 1997.

Did he have connection to Little Shop of Horrors? I vaguely recall him on the Tonight Show with Johnny Carson and the huge man eating plant. I'm bad at entertainment trivia and don't find a YouTube clip of it.
I don't remember him in that movie. The plant was voiced by Levi Stubbs, who was the lead singer of the Motown group the Four Tops.
