Tried watching this - made it most of the way through Season 1 and quit watching because it was so boring. And such a shame as the Medici were fascinating and there are plenty of great story lines.

Instead - just a Middle Ages soap opera. Lots of pretty people having sex, so there's that. And beautiful filmography and scenery.

I enjoyed the series, but Im a sucker for historical dramas. Season 2 was the best season of the three in my opinion.

Really? So you recommend I go ahead and give it a shot? I too love historical dramas but there was very little history in Season 1 and a lot of bangity bang bang.

To each their own but I enjoyed it, not my favorite series or one I'd put in my top 20 but enjoyable for what it is.

It can't be more boring than The Crown can it?
