As the MCU Best Moments research continues to consume my soul, I thought we'd do something as fun but a little less time-consuming on my end. These are all based on the movies, but if you want to vote on your comic book love and knowledge, go nuts.

I'll be honest after I got the first 6-8 characters in each region seeded, the rest was mostly a plug-and-play. There 6 regions, 96 characters altogether. If you voted in the 2000-2009 movie tournament, this is the same format. 6 regional winners, 2 round-robin regional mini-tournaments to produce the final four.

One round-robin will be Regions 1, 3, 5 and the other will be 2,4,6.

I know it's overdone at this point and a villain loses his villain status if he has a turn in the last 5 minutes, but Hydra and the Winter Soldier deserve a lot more love too. That **** was pretty unprecedented.

Of course Bucky is now a hero, so it's easy to forget, but he was terrifying and personal and Hydra was everywhere. They even took over Agents of Shield for several years (understandably).

Underrated, I say! I guess it's just harder to put a "face" to it these days.

Mysterio isn't even the best Spider-Man villain in the MCU. I want to see more of Michael Keaton's Vulture.

I agree that Vulture is awesome and both of them are head and shoulders above all the rest other than the big two. I've recently re-watched both MCU Spider-movies, and I'd give the nod to Mysterio though. Gyllenhaal absolutely owns the movie, and watching his subtleness the first half then complete turn is just fantastic. He legit plays two separate characters.


Spider-Man definitely has conquered the MCU villain problem. Pretty amazing to see Feige and company take two of the corniest, most ridiculous villains, who should have never worked in a movie, and turn them into some of the best. Anxious to see where they go from here, although I think you will get your wish and get more Vulture.

Yeah, when I first saw announcement Mysterio was the bad guy I was kind of in disbelief. Just a ridiculous character but it turned out well. Vulture was awesome too. Helps to have two excellent actors in the role!

Ronan was a pretty simple villain in the movies. Black Panther is one of the weaker hero characters too. More like a slap fight.

Mysterio losing to GOOP actually makes me kinda mad.

Damn. No love for Kraglin or Lady Sif.

Surprised there wasn't more love for Suri and Okoye. Also thought Trevor might move on.
