I posted this on F16

I ate dinner with Charlie Daniels one time. Great American that loved this country and could he ever burn a fiddle up with his playing.

Why would you post it on F16? Those people probably think he was murdered by black Marxists who sprayed coronavirus onto his fiddle.

I love his music. The Devil Went Down to Georgia is one of my favorites from childhood and The South's Gonna Do it Again is another.

Took my mom to see him, Hank Jr. and Bo Diddley at the Houston Rodeo and he was freakin' amazing.

Damn, Charlie Daniels and Ennio Morricone on the same day.

Good - Morricone
Outlaw (Bad) - Daniels
Ugly - ?

His big hits will get lots of play now that he's passed, but he had some incredible deep cuts

By far my favorite is "No Place To Go". It may not have shown off his fiddle playing, but it captures the outlaw jamming sound of the 70s- it's definitely more Marshall Tucker Band in style:

Bo Diddley played about 20 minutes; CD played an hour, Hank played 2. Hank had them both come out to play on All my Rowdy Friends are Coming Over Night, Born to Boogie, and Texas Women.
