Wayne's World 2 and Coneheads are much better than Ladies Man

Also,

"It's Pat" made $60,822 total worldwide on a $8,000,000 budget. It would take all of 70 days to generate $61,000 in interest on $8 million dollars at a 4% rate.

if you look at any top 10 list of SNL movies it is usually in there - that's how bad SNL movies are

That Stuart Smalley movie was on the popularity level of its pat.

Yeah... kind of a dumb topic. They pretty much all suck, except for Blues Brothers and Wayne's World. Waynes World 2 is okay, but that's as far as it goes, for me.

I looked up the list thinking there were some decent ones I had forgotten...and nope.
I was a Tad bitter In looking around though that Vulture has Wayne's World ranked ahead of Blues Brothers. That's sacrilege to me on a number of levels.

Night at the Roxbury was always the movie we put on when we were pre-gaming in college.

Movies with an snl alum as the lead actor might be better but I'm taking a hiatus after the 2 marvel polls are done, going to the beach Wednesday for a while

But also Animal House, Shrek, Tommy Boy, all of Sandler's stuff, all of Eddie Murphy's stuff, Fletch, etc.

Or if you wanted to cheat, you could use this guy's one season to make him an alumni

I guess not a true SNL movie, they did end up on SNL, but it fits the bill.

According that link above, there have only been 11 official "SNL" movies. It's Pat and Stuart Saves His Family were the two with the truly awful box office performances. It appears as though It's Pat, Stuart, Coneheads, The Ladies Man, Blues Brothers 2000, and MacGruber all lost money (at least from a box office standpoint).

MacGruber definitely caught a bid as a cult classic... yet, I still feel like it is highly underrated. Very similar to Last Man on Earth or any Will Forte-lead project.

Depends on the criteria. If we are talking just SNL alums, then yes. But if movies based on SNL skits, then no.

Tommy Boy would have been a classic skit though. Imagine Farley and Spade unsuccessfully trying to sell brake pads to the host every few weeks.

SNL movies are based on snl skits, it's Blues Brothers then Macgruber then Wayne's world then a bunch of other crap

The original Blues Brothers is so damn good. When I was a kid the music just blew me away.

If we're talking just SNL alums, Tommy Boy falls even further down the list, because now you're competing with Bill Murray, Chevy Chase, Eddie Murphy, etc.
