Yes I know I'm late to the game and I've seen an episode of Curb Your Enthusiasm here and there but since getting HBO Max I have started from the beginning. The first few episodes were ok but it's started getting funnier and I like it and want to see what all crazy stuff he gets into. I'm only on episode 4 or 5 of season 1 so I wondered when does it really hit its stride and what is considered the best season or seasons?

IIRC there were lots of articles about this prior to the most recent season.

Curb was one of two shows I also started when quarantine kicked off a few months ago along with Veep. Veep ended up being the one I picked up and I just finished it (hilarious), so I'm also picking back up on Curb. I think I got through 3 episodes and if the theme is Larry David getting into hilarious situations that are mostly a result of him being himself, then yeah I'm on board.

The Doll S2e7 probably the best episode of the series.

and you have to wonder if it happened to larry.

The first couple episodes are ok then it takes off the rest of season 1 and 2. Then the end of season 3 is when it hits its stride. 4-8 is great stuff. 6-7 are my favorites. Season 9 is ok, then 10 gets back to the greatness.

I love this show. I have every dvd. My favorite tv comedy of all time.

Most uncomfortable show ever.

I really like the Leon years but like it better when his family is gone and it's just him.

Find time to watch this Netflix show, relative to Curb Your Enthusiasm.

Veep is better
and I love Curb

For me, it hit its stride in Season 4.

Veep declined sharply in its final few seasons from that of an elite comedy to just a good comedy.

Curb did not start out with the immediate brilliance of veep but has more lasting power over its run.

Don't know which one I Iike better to be honest. Both amazing but different trajectories.

hard to compare them since they are completely different types of comedy. Curb takes the awkwardness of a single weird guy to elite levels. Veep has more rapid fire jokes than any show i've seen. it's a lot like just having a bunch of comics stand up on stage and saying go.

love them both.

Curb is my favorite show of all time. Larry spends 10 seasons arguing societal norms that make zero sense. Very relatable.

It will start to "take off" once you get used to Larry's sense of humor, whenever that may be.

It was hard for me to watch at first because I was having trouble removing myself from the uncomfortable situations. I'm not sure what happened, but now I'm able to really enjoy it.
