About her IG. I think Britney uses her IG account for kind of all things, its pictures, its pinterest, its her facebook and her twitter. She likes to post the same pictures multiple times and memes of minions sometimes. I like to think of her as the "aunt who doesn't quite get social media" of the internet.

But more importantly Britney Spears has been in a conservatorship since 2008 and momentum has finally started reaching a fever pitch to get her out of it. These conservatorships are reserved for people in a coma or with such severe mental illness that they can't physically function in any capacity without around the clock care. Her dad was able to put her in this while she was being held by a 51/50 psychiatric hold and she wasn't evaluated by a professional or present in court when it was put in place.

"She shaved her head" you say, "she must have been crazy". Well since she was placed in the conservatorship she has released four albums, had a four year Vegas residency, gone on three world tours, was a judge on X Factor, and launched multiple fashion and fragrances lines. Again these are generally for people who are so severely disabled that they can't feed themselves. I can't speculate on her mental health and maybe she needs some help with that but she is clearly not so disable that she should have all her rights taken away from her.

Under the conservatorship she can't do things like drive a car, vote, get married, have children, spend her own money, or speak publicly about the conservatorship. She also can't hire her own lawyer to represent her. Her dad and the other people in the conservatorship make about 1.1 million dollars off of her a year and she is only allowed to have a 1,500 dollar a week allowance, of her own money.

These conservatorships are very necessary for the people who actually need them but the system has a lot of loopholes that allow for some staggering corruption. Right now any person can petition for a guardianship / conservatorship even if you have never met them. And once you are one is it a complete catch 22 where you are considered "disabled" so you can't legally fight for your own rights in court or hire a lawyer to speak on your behalf.

I know its fun to make fun of Britney Spears but what has happened to her is a complete breakdown of the justice system to protect her from her greedy father.

Something is definitely wrong with her, and has been for quite some time, which is sad, no doubt, but the conspiracy theories being peddled here are WAY over the top, IMO. That church pic, for example, is just... Britney Spears standing in front of a church. For the life of me, I can't see how that's evidence of anything at all.

That said, between Britney this week and Kanye last week, what *is* obvious is that their level of super stardom is seemingly more often a curse rather than a blessing. That kind of fame simply isn't worth the money.

Totally agree with you. A global pop star from an EXTREMELY young age that lacked a normal childhood, teen years, and adult life due to her fame and fortune, coupled with mental illness. I do believe its possible that unfortunately people might be taking advantage of this situation to access her wealth, but the conspiracy theories that she was part of MKUltra, that she's currently being trafficked, that she's sending out secret messages on her Insta, are all ridiculous. She's mentally ill and if you follow her on insta (I do) its plain to see that there is definitely something not right with her. Its sad, but that's all it is.

I think in Kanye's case, you're spot on. But in Spears' case, while she did always seem a little ditsy, I don't think she's bipolar (though I'm obviously no expert). IMO, it really does feel like the fame and hangers-on finally caused her to break mentally, and she just never fully recovered. But yeah, overall, you're totally right that there are plenty of super-famous rich people who don't go bonkers.

The thought that someone has her entirely brainwashed/controlled/whatever but can't keep her from sneaking out hints that she's being trafficked/controlled on insta is humorous to me
