Loved this series while I was growing up and still love watching the episodes. They did a pretty cool documentary on this a couple weeks back that I just ran across. Didn't see it posted and found it very interesting.

Great insight to the industry in the 80's and what they had to overcome to put this show together.

I'm sure the doc gets into it, but the original pencil test and then fully fleshed out pitch are epic.

This part of the doc really made me appreciate how influential the 1989 Batman movie really was.

I knew it was kind of a "turning point" when it came to the maturation of properties previously seen as kiddie, but, I had no clue how strict the censors were back in the 60's - 80's. It was pretty interesting to hear about all the hurdles they had to clear to get this on the air.

So trippy that I am watching that doc about the shows in '91 and realizing that I was starting to remember watching shows like this when they were brand new. I never knew anything different on Saturday mornings than Animaniacs and the others.

I remember Batman TAS being so thematic that my mom didn't want me watching it. I would have to sneak watch the show when I was younger.

I also remember how excited I was about Joker or Scarecrow episodes.
