Recently In Time with JT was on tv and I noticed the scene where Cillian Murphy walks out of a tunnel was the same tunnel in the dark knight rises where Batman saves Joseph Gordon and blows the wall for the trapped officers.

I've seen this same tunnel in other movies although I can't recall which ones. Seems like a go to location shoot - got me thinking...

Any other locations or scenery that have been featured in multiple movies? Maybe the most famous is monument valley in Utah (too many to count), but any other sites that are repeated used? The hollywood tunnel in Griffith park?

If anyone knows where the first tunnel/underpass i mentioned is located would scratch an ocd itch because I can't place it.

2nd street tunnel has been in a ton of movies including Blade Runner, Terminator, Independence Day and Enemy of the State.

The Bradbury Building is another that's been in a lot, especially noir. Double Indemnity, Chinatown, Blade Runner, etc.

I suppose it is more than just a common location because it is a landmark but the arch in Washington Square Park at NYU has been in countless movies. My daughter lived in an NYU dorm 2 blocks from there and even over the last 4 years the number of shoots there was impressive.

Recently I recall seeing it in 2 TV shows that were set in the 60s and 70s there - Marvelous Miss Maisel and The Deuce.

It has been featured in many movies and tv shows.

Deep Impact - notoriously with a giant wave coming from the wrong direction (north) relative to the arch, instead of the south even though it was shown coming up from the south (originating at sea) and had just passed the Statue of Liberty. I suppose you only realize this once you've been there which was true for us.

When Harry Met Sally
The Astronaut's Wife
Iron Man
Spider Man
Avengers Infinity War
Ghostbuters II
Glee
Person of Interest
Barefoot in the Park
August Rush
Searching for Bobby Fisher
The Freshman

etc. etc. there are many many more.

Is that the same tunnels that are in Cloak and Dagger?

A lot of actual sets are re-used as well. Did the Universal Studios tour a few years back and went to the plane crash set from "War of the Worlds".

Then watching Key and Peele reruns the other day and the flight boarding one (where Key is boarding group 1 but ends up boarding last) has a plane crash wreckage scene at the end that look really familiar. Sure enough, same set.

The original or Nic Cage version? I haven't seen the original, and it's been so long since I've seen the Cage one, I don't recall that much about it.

That valley in Hawaii is in pretty much every jungle movie.

This was the location of the Holy Grail in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, and was also the setting for some action in one of the Transformers flicks.

This famous street is apparently on the Universal Studios backlot, where a year before the movie Gremlins was largely shot as well. The coffee shop of 1955 was also the 1985 aerobics class which is also the bank where the Phoebe Cates character works.

yeah I've been there and taken the tour at Kualoa Ranch. Awesome stuff.

So many movies and shows. They have these little signs up designating each movie and memorable scenes filmed there and you can really tell and recall those scenes on site. Bunch of set pieces still remain as well like Dino and Kong bones, etc.

Also has some great history about that area being used during WWII as a defense outpost on the north shore. They have some bunkers built into caves on that same ranch and it was part of the tour.

Kong Skull Island
LOST
Godzilla
Jurassic Park and World
Pearl Harbor
Magnum PI
Jumanji and a bunch of The Rock movies they talk about him a lot being so nice

etc. etc.

Remake. Never seen the original.

The Eleanor chase goes through there much like Grease.

Bronson Cave/Canyon the most famous cave in movies/television.

Located in Griffith Park in Hollywood, this is most famously known as the entrance to the Batcave in the Adam West series. It has also been used in hundreds of other shows and sci-fi movies for a hundred years.

Being a HUGE fan of Mystery Science Theater 3000 and it's offshoots (The Film Crew, Cinematic Titanic and Rifftrax), here is a list of films featuring the Bronson Cave that have been riffed on these programs:

Robot Monster
Killers from Space
It Conquered the World
Night of the Blood Beast
Earth vs. the Spider
Teenage Caveman
Teenagers from Space
Eegah!
The Magic Sword
The Human Duplicators
Octoman
The Sword & the Sorcerer

(many of these are Roger Corman movies)

Glenbrook North High School = Shermer High School, Shermer, Illinois -- Breakfast Club and Ferris Bueller's Day Off

Nearby town of Winnetka, Illinois:

The timeless[18] film Home Alone is set in Winnetka, and featured scenes filmed at 671 Lincoln Avenue. The street address is mentioned in the film, but the street is called "Lincoln Boulevard". The opening scenes of the sequel Home Alone 2: Lost in New York were filmed at the same house. Nearly three decades after the original film's 1990 release, sightseers still visit the North Shore neighborhood.[19]

Numerous other films have been shot in Winnetka, including portions of films Ocean's 12, Breakfast Club, National Lampoon's Vacation, Ferris Bueller's Day Off, Sixteen Candles, Risky Business, Planes, Trains & Automobiles, She's Having a Baby and Uncle Buck. The film Contagion was filmed in the area in the spring of 2011.

This is the Universal set that you can walk around on -- it's adjacent to "The Good Life" set.
