Ok guys.....

So, I am luckily involved with a project that is about a popular children's book character: Hank the Cowdog.

Our ultimate goal is to get Hank on the big screen (and maybe dovetail into a tv/netflix series) - but, in the meantime, we are doing a podcast to demonstrate Hank's potential audience.

We have secured some of the following talent:

• Matthew McConaughey as lead role: Hand the Cowdog

• Jesse Plemmons as Drover

• Jeff Nichols as the Director

(I will release some of the other great actors as the episodes are released - or I will try and give a preview when I can before an episode is released)

Anyways, we could really use your help - go visit the Apple podcast site (or other podcast if you don't like Apple) and subscribe to the Hank the Cowdog channel. If we can show the potential audience is high enough, it will make getting Hank to the big screen so much easier!

I was hoping to get a bunch of Ags to help support this endeavor - by subscribing, sharing, posting reviews, etc.

The creator of Hank the Cowdog is John R. Erickson from Perryton, Texas - he is a great person.

I know Ags ----- don't just turn your back because the silly sip McConaughey is the lead role - but, to think we got an Academy Best Actor Award winner on the project - it really is pretty cool. Plus, if we get back to normal and it's made into a movie - I will do my best to get McConaughey to give a hearty "Gig 'em" with me on the red carpet during the premiere.

Politics related because in our current world environment, it would be great to have Hank in as many homes as possible!.

I will also try to post on the Premium and the Panhandle Boards (these are about the only 3 forums that I frequent).

Great cast, great concept.

I'm in on the voice talent alone, and an added bonus to get to support a fellow Ag in the industry.

Sounds like you've got all the connections and talent needed to eventually get this adapted for the screen, but if you ever need any additional avenues or resources, I'm a producer in LA and could potentially help with financing (should my backers be interested), or getting it on the radar of Netflix, Amazon, Apple, etc. Again, it sounds like you're covered in that department, but either way, feel free to reach out anytime.

Also Jeff Nichols and Jesse Plemons are big-time too... and now I'm laughing at some kind of gritty southern gothic reboot in the style of Mud, but with a cowdog named Hank... solving the chicken coop murders

One of the other things that we are going to try to tie into the series is an education curriculum package that schools can use!

Again, we are going the Indie route to preserve the characters of Hank the Cowdog - so, we have to prove our potential audience with different distribution platforms. Even though John as sold over 10 million copies! But John is used to this, when he started his first book - he couldn't get publishers - and/or they wanted to change things - so he started his own publishing company - and now has over 70 books in the series and sold all over the world.

Jeff will be writing the scripts based on John's books, but he is also committed to Hank's legacy/character.

Man, what a cast

Whoop!!

I just looked at the Apple Podcasts - and we have made it into the Top 100 "Top Charts" (currently #69) - and we haven't even released an episode yet!!

Also, every show ranked above us have all released episodes - so that makes us the highest ranked show with NO episodes! (Just on the strength of the trailer, actors, characters, etc.)

And when we get close to release of the episodes on Sept 14, Apple has also agreed to kick in and promote the show - then things might get dang fun!
