Anyone seen or heard anything about this. Dallas kid wrote/directed/starred in it. Getting good reviews, won awards in the online-because-of-covid SXSW film festival. Theaters and VOD in October

This is finally out on VOD this weekend, I just finished it, and thought it was one of the best movies of the year. Super simple story and nothing groundbreaking, but a solid, well done, coming-of-age indie from a young, promising filmmaker, and yeah, a Dallas kid at that. At 22, Cooper Raiff, the lead, also wrote and directed, and makes the whole thing seem so effortless, on a shoestring budget. It's almost Linklater-esque at times - with a bit of a Before Sunrise vibe in the first half - but has its own voice as well. Overall, it's genuine and heartfelt, but also pretty funny too, and I can't wait to see what Raiff does next. Definitely check it out if you get the chance.
