It's now happened twice to me. First was The Borgias, which was totally awesome. The next season would have Pope Alexander die - and the incest was JUST getting started - but they up and pulled the plug.

Just recently was Marco Polo, which also left us all hanging as Kublai Kahn and Marco are riding away from an invading Christian army right after Marco stabs Kublai's opponent for the Khanate in the back.

What TV series left you with TV blue balls due to cancellation?

The Glades on Netflix. Talk about a cliffhanger

Man, that was pretty much what killed the show for me. They took a rumor that was started by the Borgias' enemies and turned it into this central storyline and the show shifted from historical drama to pervert soap opera.

Had some good moments before that, like Cesare meeting Machiavelli to discuss how to handle the mad monk leading the bonfires of the vanities and such.

A decent show on Fox called The Finder

The Lazarus Man, but Robert Urich had pancreatic cancer, so it had to end.

Community just wasn't a great show overall. Early seasons were good. But, it really fell apart.

There was a show on Fox that aired back in September 2010 called Lone Star and it was one of the better syndicated pilots I had seen. Needless to say- they only aired that and the second episode and I was pretty disappointed.

Ha! That's my friend Kyle who wrote Lonestar. We were sad to see it not picked up to. He had a couple shows that would have been great for the streaming era.

Yeah, and I remember they had the frozen guy in the pilot then we never saw him again. Useless trivia: Kevin Peter Hall who played the guy who could shrink also played the original Predator.

Oh, that show The Imposters. It went two seasons also.

Deadwood cancellation was tragic, but I'm glad I saw the seasons that are out there.

The sudden cancelling of Bloodline left me feeling pretty empty

It's an oldie, but checkout i-Claudius. It picks up during Augustus' reign and has much of the same political intrigue as Rome did. From What I heard they intended Rome to run many seasons but they had to file it down to season 2(which covers something like 10-20 years of history in a single season. So much potential storytelling wasted!

Fox only aired 8 of 13 episodes originally, later the DVD came out with other episodes

I enjoyed that show as well. I don't sleep well so during the night I have to find shows to watch that aren't too stressful or have tons going on. I loved that show for evenings when I wanted to be entertained but not overwhelmed if that makes sense. I had no idea it was so short and when I got to the end I had the sads.
