Gues this was from 2018, but missed it first time around? Didn't see a thread on it.
Really well made movie of a father with PTSD and his 13 year old daughter trying to live off the grid in The Pacific Northwest. The girl is Thomisin McKenzie, who played the Jewish girl in JoJo Rabbit and she is great her too. Ben Foster plays the dad and is good as always.
It is written directed by the same woman who directed Winter's Bone (her first movie since then) and has a similar feel,. Nothing in the way of deep exposition, no big plot twists, No action. no over the top scenes, just a well made good story about the father daughter relationship in the most unique of circumstances, trying to find a place they feel safe and at home,
If you want something really different and well made, this one works. I caught it on showtime I think, but it's on Amazon Prime.
