Only reason I know about it is because I follow Bryan Edward Hill on twitter (he's quite interactive).

I've never gotten into them as they were quite a bit after my time, but I'm now intrigued with this writing and directing duo.

Could it be a gritty rendition like Bryan Hill's work tends to be?

I used to race from elementary school to catch the episodes. Every attempted movie and reboot has been god awful.

They need to make it like the straight to youtube, gritty short movie that was put out a couple years ago with James Van Der Beek. That was awesome.

I lived across the street from my elementary school, so I was always to see it without missing anything. Would have friends some over sometimes to watch. What a time.
The most recent one was okay, but I have a big soft spot for the Power Rangers since that was my whole life as a 7 - 8 year old.

There have been a lot worse movies, released lately, than the last Power Rangers movie. I actually thought it was okay. Cheesy? Yep. Great? Nope. But it was entertaining for someone like myself that watched the series as a kid.

Agree on the Pink ranger... damn...

i remember seeing commercials for what seemed like months for mighty morphin power rangers and thinking it was going to be bad ass, then i watched the show and realized it was a person in a robot costume fighting other people in crappy costumes on terrible sets like they were godzilla or something. also, the bad, bad dubbing.

The power rangers you see in costume are the Japanese actors. They would send the American show runners just the fight scenes, and then they would have to write a story line based on the fights.

Yeah I didn't know that, I just knew I thought it was dumb. I guess I just missed the cutoff from being too old.

Hell, gotta say I even got pumped when they started playing it in the 2017 movie. Can't help it... I'm a child of the 90's.

I can't tell you how many times I had my Power Ranger and Godzilla toys fight one another in a city made of blocks, cans, and other assorted items.

The production values of those fights were only slightly lower than the official media.
