I realize this probably isn't in the league of The Last Kingdom or Vikings, but is it worth watching if a fan of that type of show?

IMO, it was pretty good. Worth the six episode watch.

I am 3 episodes in and like it a lot.

I watched the first one and it felt cheap to me. I didn't watch any more.

I sorta felt the same after the first Spartacus, but I ended up sticking to it and thought it was great. Should I give this show another chance?

There's a lot to like about it. Watch the original version, not the one dubbed in English. The Romans speak Latin and the barbarians speak German. The costumes are excellent, especially the Roman uniforms. Thusnelda is a goddess. It does a very good job of world-building.

The down-side is that they get the Battle of the Teutoburg Forest wrong. The fire scene was pure fantasy. Also, I would have made Arminius look more stereotypically German, but that's just a personal preference.

Overall it is well worth watching.

I'm 3 episodes in but I hate the voice overs. It's tolerable so I'm still interested.

Where do we find the series with the original languages? I don't see it.

When you start the movie, go to settings. You can pick German for language and select subtitles.
