Were there plans to continue the franchise before the recent court rulings supporting Heard over Depp? Depp being ruled an alcoholic wife beater torpedoes any future plans.

It had been announced that he wouldn't be returning to the franchise, but I had hopes he still would given that he won in the court of public opinion and assumed he'd most likely win his case.

Really not sure what they do now though.

Isn't Depp still doing the Fantastic beasts movies though? Not completely out of work.

Not sure why I used to enjoy POTC so much and don't feel like watching them at all anymore. Never saw the last two.
