Didn't see a thread, and I like most don't consider the Grammys a measure of good music, but my quick thoughts...
1. folklore - This is my pick for Album of The Year. And not just of the nominees. It is my favorite album of the year 2020. I would think it's probably the favorite to win. I believe it's the best selling of all the nominees, plus it's an 88 on Metacritic for critics, and a 9.1 from fans. A rare combo of sales, critical acclaim, and fan love.
2. Jason Isbell - 0 nominations?!?! Being that his last two won 2 Grammys a piece I am very surprised that Reunions didn't at least get an Americana Album nomination. It deserved it.
3. Sturgill Simpson - Very glad to see Sound & Fury get a nom for best rock album. It was my favorite album of 2019 and glad to see them not shackle him with the country label and take the album for what it is.
