Interesting since I just watched the Fincher film again yesterday. It really doesn't shed any more light on the case and is more of the same BS from Zodiac but it goes to show that Fincher's theme about obsession is alive and well with a case over 50 years old.

Of course there is still a cottage industry for Jack the Ripper too.

Not sure why that wasn't apparent to them actually.


LIFE IS appears pristine at the top right not part of the diagonal cipher. It is straight text substitution.

DEATH is pristine at the bottom right which is also not diagonal as the entire two bottom rows are not. they just have some frontward and some backward words. DEATH is the last word on the bottom right.

Those are easy words and effectively the key once they figured out the rest was diagonal and the shifting.

As for the last 2 lines

I AM NOT AFRAID BECAUSE I KNOW THAT MY NEW
flows straight into
LIFE WILL BE AN EASY ONE IN PARADICE

if you leave out the LIFE IS and DEATH

that's it.

LIFE IS and DEATH are separate. Keys basically. A title if you like.

People have made fun of him saying he looks like the zodiac killer. He has leaned into it and made it an on going joke. He makes remarks about it frequently. Chimes in every time someone mentions the zodiac killer on Twitter.
