Didnt see a thread on it on the first two pages.

Had no expectation of this film coming in. What a surprise. Affleck has come a long way from Chasing Amy. Highly recommend.

That scene where hes been clean and winning, but hes back in the bar with the beer in front of him you can hear the audience say "dont pick up the glass"...he picks it up "dont take a drink"...

The scene with his athletes father, you want him to say something about being a father but he cant...just gut wrenching.

Great movie. I feel like he played himself in it....rather than acting.

I liked the film a lot

Brutal film. In the best possible way. So real. Most movies would have the coach win the championship and ride off into the sober sunset. Life isn't that simple and the film does a great job explaining why.

From my perspective: I like adult beverages and typically have a glass or two of wine or a beer or whatever at night. I can clearly see myself ruining everything diving into a bottle of cancer took my youngest. Gut wrenching is right.
