Drank tequila all day yesterday and was up late and bored. Decided to watch this. It's been several years.
This is a bizarro movie for those who have not seen the original. Very near dystopian future as society is clearly in the process of breaking down. There are still people trying to live and do normal things, but this movie almost seems like the last 48 hours of somewhat normal society before complete and total anarchy and lawlessness sets in.
Maybe that was the intent by George Miller; never read much about his thoughts on the film. I think that's what makes this movie interesting because it really feels like you are watching the final moments of the last breath of civilized society.
A few other random thoughts:

A few other random thoughts:
- I want that red wagon. Such a badass vehicle with the scifi mural and mag wheels.
- Mad Max being mad is actually very little of the film..
- Shotguns seem to be the weapon of choice. I presume that is because other weapons may not have been readily available considering Australia's gun laws?
