Anyone catch this on CW? I wasn't too excited about this but recorded the pilot. I actually enjoyed it. We'll see if it stays interesting.

Where does this pick up in their story?
They have twin high school boys, things at the Daily Planet aren't going well

I've always loved Superman in general, but was hesitant to watch this since it was a spin-off of Supergirl and I hadn't seen any of that. Anything that would require having watched Supergirl?
I thought the pilot was excellent. I had low expectations but the story was very good. Didn't care much for the first villain but the other story lines were excellent.
To my knowledge, no. This actually might be either in the future or an alternate universe from Supergirl. Last season on Supergirl, or the crossover (can't remember), Clark and Lois had a baby, but just the one.

I don't watch supergirl and really enjoyed the pilot. The ending left me going "what the what"! Nice little tease
Is it basically Smallville, but now Clark isn't in high school but married with kids?

Don't know yet. They do show him using his powers often. Smallville was more relational then him being actual superman if I recall. There is relational things going on with him and his kids but they mix it with him being Supes too.

One of the crossovers had a cringey line from Lois about making 70 cents on the dollar compared to Clark.
I laughed at the fact that someone wrote that line down and thought it was quality.
My wife and I enjoyed the first episode quite a bit. I have hopes it will be good.
I watched it with my teenage boys, and they really liked it. We'll keep watching it to see where it goes.
I feel like some of the storyline is going to be pretty predictable, especially with his son(s).

That's pretty progressive of CW to change Lois Lane from one of the most badass journalists in the world to a scrub journalist just to send a political message about a myth that only the most hardcore feminists like to spout.

Great show. My only complaint is the emo kid is a bit of an over actor. Great story so far.
Surprisingly pretty good!!
I like this Superman. Good show so far; I'll keep watching.
Heads up, this leaves HBO Max at the end of the week for anyone keeping it on their "I'll get around to it" list.
