I didn't think it looked that bad, run of the mill sci-fi that I'd watch on TNT while napping on a Sunday afternoon when it's not football season. The title is what makes it sound stupid.

Bruce will turn 66 this month. Let him do what he wants. His movies are a touchstone for those of us who grew up in the 80s/90s.

EDIT: You didn't like Battlestar Galactica? 8.7 out of 10 on IMDB, 96% on RT.

The movie also features these three people. Oh to be a casting director.

Was it Solarbabies bad? Because let me tell you, I watched Solarbabies this weekend for the heck of it, and that might be the worst movie I've ever seen.

And I'm pretty sure I would have rented that as a kid back in the day so I have now seen this movie twice. Dear Lord, why!?!

Maybe he is updating his house or adding another room/garage. Maybe he uses the additional money to cover Cali taxes or capital gains tax. Almost always take the extra money if someone is offering it to you.

Last 10 years have been weird from him. Some amazing movies (Looper, Motherless Brooklyn, Vice, Moonrise Kingdom) good (Split) - and a ton of dumb action (not that there is anything wrong with that) and movies I've never heard of. Seems he could do 1/3 as much and be ahead of the game

How much does he make for these? He's still a name and probably a big draw relative to the overall budgets of these movies. 1-2 mil? More?

Are you saying that you think The Fifth Element is the best sci-fi movie ever made? We all have our opinions, but I wouldn't put it in my top 10. Though I'm strangely attracted to watching it when I find it channel surfing.

It's not the best in any category except that I can't pass it up when it's on. It's corny, cheesy, not great acting, has a very shallow plot, CGI is decent, and doesn't have a ton of originality. However, I cannot resist watching it when it is on and I enjoy it every single time.

I'm not sure a movie could receive a better complement.
