My wife watches it. I caught the end.
That cured zero racism and empowered hate. So dumb. It's pretty clear that racism now is just a bludgeoning tool of power. No one wants to "solve" it.

Is the show finally dead?
If you willingly choose to watch the bachelor, you deserve what you get.
My wife just came in the room pissed off and said she'd never watch it again.

My wife watched. It was Scott's Tots or Dinner Party Office cringe-worthy. I laughed out loud multiple times when it was supposed to be a serious moment. It's too bad they canceled Chris Harrison because Acho couldn't fill his shoes.
I watch the first few weeks of the bachelor because it's pure trash. The women go completely insane and I can't turn away. But for them to get all righteous when they're hoaring out a bunch of contestants for all the world to see hypocrisy at it's finest.
And of course the new host is black. Not chosen for his color obviously because that would be racist.
I'll miss my trash tv.

Short version: The show's first black bachelor picks a girl who, allegedly, used to bully girls in high school for dating black guys. And other stuff. The internet freaked out. The host kind of brushed it off, the internet freaked out again, and now he's "stepping away for a bit." The post-finale reunion show was about race. The bachelor and this girl have since broken up.
Personally, I didn't have a problem with how they handled it last night..? I guess I feel for Matt - he's definitely going to have extra trust issues now.
We've only watched two seasons of the Bachelor and both times they've broken up by the time the finale airs. It's a pretty big waste of time IMO. I should just watch the first episode for the ****show and then bail before people get hurt.

My wife and I have watched it for all 12 years of our marriage as our weekly source of entertainment and judging others. We laugh our way through two hours and make all the sarcastic comments in the world. 95% of the final couples on the show are broken up by the time the finale ends. Every other time the reason has been just as stupid as last night's time-traveling racist.
I watched one season with my wife. Sean and Katherine. They are still together and both seem like genuinely good people. Glad I stopped there.
I love how almost every guy here makes sure to say they are watching it with their wife. As if that's an excuse.
