Friends have recommended it to me. Not super keen on picking up yet another streaming service but I could do a month or two just to watch the show.

Thoughts? Worth starting?

It is entertaining, but it isn't anything you haven't already seen. I loved it but will admit it was basically a mafia movie with cowboys and Indians. I liked the individual characters though.

Edit: it reminded me of boardwalk empire but on a ranch.

Yeah, it's fun and entertaining, but nothing real new. Gangs + Cowboys. I'm about to finish Season 3. Some of the writing is lazy, but it's still fun.

My wife and I just watched all of it for free on Peacock.
The scenery was very pretty and it was entertaining. But it got to be a crazy soap opera at times.

My wife and I watched it and liked it a lot, but yeah, sometimes it gets a little soap opera-y, but it is entertaining.

They have a two spinoffs in the works called 6666 about the Four Sixes ranch in Texas and Y:1883 a prequel to the start of the Dutton Family ranch.

Rip Wheeler is one of my favorite television characters.

It's definitely a soap opera.

It's basically "Dallas" except more extreme violence and the scenery and ranching/horse stuff is emphasized more.

As long as everyone doesn't have the sheety Texas accent they gave Teeter. JC that's bad. I had heard of the prequel and I'm looking forward to it. Never heard of the one set in Texas. I'm sure I'll be in.
