Can we get the final voting results for the Round of 64?

I imagine some of them were pretty close.

I posted it in the first round thread - only 5 upsets all movies over TV

It's an easy choice for me, but I hate that y'all made me vote against the Robbie Hart band this early.

3 races are separated by 3 votes or less nearing 100 ballots

Colin Hay is real. Doesn't count.

Correct. Cameo of a real artist is not fictional even if given a fictional name.

See Madonna in Vision Quest .

Colin Hay was a specific example of those not qualified in the OP for nominations.

No.

However the The Worthless Peons (aka The Blanks, Ted's Band) with Sam Lloyd were included.

I've stopped the voting...... 3rd round will be up soon.

PREPARE yourself to be ANGRY and even more ANGRY with the Sweet 16 matchups - it's rough.

Only ONE UPSET in this round and it is glorious - I heartily approve.

Only ONE CLOSE RACE really and I was waiting until it diverged a bit. As of this morning at 9am it was still tied and had gone back and forth with neither leading by more than 2 at any point.

Here are your results

1 O' Brother, Where Art Thou?: Soggy Bottom Boys vs Rock Star: Steel Dragon 16
Soggy Bottom Boys win easily in fact the largest margin at 100-36

8 Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure: Wyld Stallyns vs Home Alone: Gus Polinski and the Kenosha Kickers 9
In a tight race that Gus was leading early Bill and Ted somehow went back in time and changed some votes I think to win comfortably 77-60

4 Animal House: Otis Day and the Knights vs Step Brothers: Prestige Worldwide 13
Seriously much closer than I thought but Otis Day and the Knights move on 84-58

5 School of Rock vs Coming To America: Randy Johnson and Sexual Chocolate 12
This was a route 89-55

15 The Muppets Dr. Teeth and the Electric Mayhem vs The Office: Scrantonicity 2
The big upset of the day #2 seed Scrantonicity goes down to #15 seed Animal and the legendary Muppets band 78-64.

10 King of the Hill: Boomhauer and Band vs South Park: Fingerbang 7
The South Park boy band takes down Boomhauser in an animated showdown 75-58

19 Eddie and the Cruisers vs Parks and Recreation: Mouse Rat 3
A close race but old school Eddie could not top Andy's band 78-62.

11 LOST: Drive Shaft vs The Monkees 6
Well here old school Monkees take down Charlie's Aussie band handily 90-42

In the bottom half of the bracket:

17 Walk Hard: The Legend of Dewey Cox vs The Blues Brothers 1
#1 seed Blue Bros walked all over Dewey Cox 98-42

24 Airheads : The Lone Rangers vs Star Wars: Figrin D'an and the Modal Nodes 25
The absolute tightest race was a dead heat at 9am. Did not want to affect things so I did not mention it but as of my 11am cutoff the Lone Rangers moved ahead by 3 votes the widest margin this ever was 70-67.
Down goes STAR WARS in a texags poll!!!!!!

13 It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia: Electric Dream Machine vs The Simpsons: The Be Sharps 4
A slight surprise to me with The Be Sharps dominating Electric Dreams 80-55

21 A Star is Born (2018): Jack and Ally vs Tenacious D: The Greatest Band on Earth 5
Tenacious D dispensed with these Stars pretty easily 95-41

2 This is Spinal Tap vs Forgetting Sarah Marshall and Get Him to the Greek: Infant Sorrow 15
Another comfortable win but I'm shocked it wasn't more 84-54.

7 Almost Famous: Stillwater vs EuroTrip: unknown party band 10
The much beloved Matt Damon cameo party band falls to the legend that is Stillwater 77-57

3 Back to the Future: Marvin Berry and the Starlighters vs Old School, etc.: The Dan Band 14
Marty and the boys had a comfortable win 85-56

6 Wedding Singer: Robbie Hart Band vs That Thing You Do: the Wonders 11
The Wonders led early but Robbie rallied and took a narrow win 73-63

Here's a cool thing about the above scene:

Marty playing at the dance pays off the scene where his band The Pinheads gets rejected by Huey Lewis for being too loud.

For all the hundreds of times I've seen it, I never really got that until I saw that pointed out on a video about why BTTF is the perfect script.

What about the time traveler in the movie, we never see? Biggest question for me is, who traveled to 1958 to get that Gibson ES-345 and bring it back to 1955?

That was not a criteria and is not true for 80% of the bands in the poll.
