Watching the show for the first time. Maybe I'm being an idiot here, but it's bugging me. So the process to create a vampire is to give them v blood right before they die, then bury them with the vampire. But vampire blood heals you. So how do the people still die?

The show starts off like it will have good world building and then it basically jumps all the sharks. Like every single shark on earth....jumped.

If you want urban fantasy, do yourself a favor and stop watching that show and pick up the Dresden Files (Book series that is, not the abortion that was the attempt at a show).

We watched this entire series except for the last 4-5 episodes. I still bug my wife about finishing it but she has no interest. Dammit!

This show was silly as hell but was an absolute guilty pleasure for me.

Sookie got naked ALOT.

Show was enjoyable because they seemed to understand what kind of show they were making, instead of thinking it was high cinema.

I do really wish we could get a good Dresden Files tv show.

Wife made me watch this at one point. I was really reluctant at first, but it did turn into a low-brow guilty pleasure. Just enjoy it for the ridiculousness and nudity.
