I consider these movies extremely scary. But they are odd in Hollywood because they promote a good deal of Christianity and it's ability to defeat the antagonist. I also find it weird that this married couple can fight demons and satanic forces one minute and the next everything is just normal as can be.

Don't get me wrong, I like the movies. Gonna try to watch Annabelle today.

The first two Conjuring movies, Annabelle: Creation, and the Nun are my favorites - the rest are fun and remain better than the majority of horror fare since the first movie came out.

I always thought that, too. I always convince family members to watch because they're basically Christian good vs evil movies, but with some scary parts. No nudity, no excessive gore, no drugs, no cursing that I can think of, minimal on-screen deaths... but still great scares. Plus they focus a lot on Ed and Lorraine loving each other, so it's like a horror/romance/thriller set up. Fun for the whole family (except when a pet dies)

I like the Conjuring films, but I did not enjoy the most recent one.

the fact that they had all those possessed trinkets and dolls in their house was odd, to say the least. no, dont destroy them or bury them or anything. lets just keep them 20 feet from where we sleep cause a priest will come bless the room every sunday to keep us safe and having sweet dreams.

I think the basic premise is that they can't be "destroyed" so the best place to have them is somewhere you can keep an eye on them.

Pretty standard demonic toy fare.
