I'm a bachelor since yesterday through Tuesday so I'm on a movie binge.

This movie is so ridiculous, so America, and so awesome. I f'ing love it. Might be my favorite alien invasion movie or at least in my top 3.

I especially love the alien little balls of hate. There is also and end credits scene for those unaware.

I went the opposite way. I t was so bad I winced at the cringe level and had to turn it off. What an awful movie. And I LOVE bad movies. This one was bad enough to loop back around twice from bad to good back to bad.

The scenes with the old WW2 crew they recruit to kick ass. Is just awesome! A fun movie. And Brooklyn Decker is in it. Just sayin'.

It is the most Michael Bay movie ever made that doesn't have anything to do with Michael Bay.

I seriously wonder if Michael Bay actually directed this movie under the pseudonym Peter Berg.

Saw this crappy movie at Central Festival mall in Pattaya, Thailand. Seems like an appropriate place to see it considering all of the sailors who have rolled through there during Cobra Gold over the years.

He kind of looks like a cleaner cut version of Jason Momoa especially when he was younger.

I may have confused people. I'm married. I'm simply on my own for a few days. I'm out of town with little on my schedule so I'm watching a bunch of ridiculous stuff.

I do wonder if in a true alien Invasion situation, we needed to reactivate the Missouri, how long that refitting would take. 18 months? Two years? Probably significantly longer than an ACDC montage.

I've told this story on the Focus thread but I'll tell it again since it involves this movie and is one of my favorite celebrity encounters of all time...


I was at a relatively low key bar in Austin about 6 years ago when Taylor Kitsch walks in. I recognized him right away, and turned to my group of friends, and say, "Hey, Taylor Kitsch is here."

They all looked at me confused and one says, "Who?" So I rattle off some of his stuff, "Friday Night Lights, John Carter, Lone Survivor..." And they do a collective head nod with the realization of who he is.

Then my drunk friend turns and screams at him at the top of his lungs so the whole bar can hear, and in the most obviously mocking tone...

"Bro, you and Rihanna KIIIIIIIIIILLED IT in Battleship!!!"



I ****ing died... and also thought we were about to get in a barfight with Tim Riggins

i love that the main character has EVERY JOB on the ship. there are something around 300 people on a DDG but his job takes him from the bridge to CIC to force protection to the small boat team.

I wonder if we have any old WWII footage of our guys fish tailing battleships in the pacific when fighting the Japanese. Would be so awesome to see that.
