Anyone else get hit by this account change? Name, email and password were all changed.

Just happened to me 30 min ago. Call HBOMax and got it fixed pretty quickly.

Seems like this has been going on for a week now.

I feel like I've seen this thread before. You or a family member likely got phished and changed your password due to a fake email.

If you ever get a random email saying anything re: your account, do not click on anything. Instead go log in and see if the alert is on your account profile as well.

My wife about once a week comes running to me or calls me and says some variation of:

Her: "My Netflix account says my payment was declined."
Me: "You don't have a Netflix account."
Her: "So what does that mean?"
Me: <blank stare>
Her: "Why would they say my payment was declined?"
Me "To get you to give them your credit card info"
Her "So it's just a scam? Why would they do that?"
Me: <blank stare>
Her <leaves exasperated>

I'm just thankful she always seems to come to me first. Nothing is in her name, uses her email or phone. For a reason. And I remind her of this. But she jumps every time she gets a text or email like that.

When I spoke with the hbomas rep, he said that they had made the change. There systems was suppose to notify users to change passwords/update info but instead changed all the account info.

Not sure if I believe it.

Wow my 90 yo mom with he very own Apple ID and several accounts seems way more savvy - that's hilarious about your wife! At least she checks first!
