So this movie, Free Guy, is finally being released on August 13 after being pushed from last summer due to the pandemic.

It's a fun concept (NPC in open world game becomes self-aware), but I have no clue whether it will be good or not. Reynolds seems to be enjoying the marketing if nothing else.

I don't know if Ryan Reynolds doesn't enjoy anything ever.



He really just seems like he's totally content making babies with Blake Lively and doing raunchy comedies al while being irreverent on social media.

He's a Canadian National Treasure.

Funny movie. Kind of a Wreck-it-Ralph / Matrix feel to it. Couple of good cameos. Probably not for <10 years old but I doubt they understand the humor anyway.

Was MUCH better than I expected and I hope that anyone that wants to see it does so before all of the cameos and surprises leak out.

There was a lot of swearing outside of that too. Some words were used for comical emphasis, but most of it was unecceasary.

My youngest is 11 and he loved the movie though.
Just be aware that it's more PG 13 than marvel movies.

That movie was better than it had any right to be. And surpisingly emotional. Levy initially had little interest in the film until Reynolds pitched it to him about identity and the Truman Show. It really shows.

Also . . . the cameo(s) of the Captain America Shield and Chris Evans was incredible.

From an interview with Ryan, this movie was being made when Fox was bought. None of it was in there before that. After the acquisition, they wrote a letter to Disney asking if they could use one of the props from their other properties. Disney wrote back and said, "Yes". They responded, "Uh, which one?" Disney responded, "All of them."

Wife and I saw it yesterday and both loved it. Great soundtrack (with many humorous choices), and it was great seeing Steve from Stranger Things get a chance in a big-time movie.

Like many others, the triple combo weapon cameo along with Cap was a big highlight.

My wife and I loved this movie. I didn't see anything overly political in the movie.

I honestly didn't understand the trailer so I went in with no prior knowledge or expectations. We went because Ryan Reynolds is awesome in everything.

if you haven't ever checked out common sense media, they're a pretty good resource for age appropriateness of movies (and other media content). i've never run across anything i'd consider a major spoiler on their write-ups, but i suppose it's possible
