He had a couple of ties to the Star wars Universe that not a lot of people knew about. As Jabba the Hutt in the radio broadcast of ROTJ and as the voice of Master Vrook in KOTOR 1 and 2. Great voice actor.

This one hurts.
Even beyond him being America's grandpa for a generation and one of those constants for literally my whole life, he seemed in good health. I posted last year how many projects he had in production.
Of course he made his name on the 70'sBut even this century think of all the great things he was in. Up, Dead to Me, Cobra Kai, and was even in an episode of Modern Family this year. Big loss.

I was pleasantly surprised when Asner appeared on Cobra Kai, as well as a Badass Santa Claus in Regular Show. The word is overused, but he was an icon. RIP
