I just found out he died yesterday. I'm gringo as hell but loved his music. He was a Sinatra-level icon in Mexico.

RIP to an absolute legend. I knew he wasn't doing well this year and just recently thought about him when Canelo walked out to "El Rey" (sung by the lead singer of Mana). Sad to hear.

I'm a fan of his, too, and was sad to hear of his passing. Cool story: I once worked for a guy who came from a wealthy family in Mexico and Vicente was his godfather. He introduced me to his music. Pedro Infante, also.
