In the last 10 years or so, Hollywood has found a great revenue source. In addition to remakes and reboots, they've discovered they can get a quick nostalgic and financial lift from role reprisal. Personally, I'm all for it. I have yet to be disappointed when I see an actor from an old or dead role come back. I don't care how fat , bald, grey, or ugly they've gotten. I don't care if they haven't acted since the 80s and it shows…. Just prop their body in front of a camera and let them read.

My top 3:
William Zabka - Cobra Kai
Harrison Ford - Star Wars Force Awakens
Leonard Nimoy - Star Trek 2009

Most Anticipated:
Tom Cruise - Top Gun

Wish list:
Diane Lane, Michael Pare and Willem Dafoe - Streets of Fire.

If Keanu Reeves can do a whole Daddy Bill and Ted movie, and Bill Pullman can help save the world from aliens… again, anything is possible. The clock is ticking, though! Stay healthy Jeff Bridges, we want more Lebowski!

You must have been ecstatic about Picard.

I just realized I have Star Wars and Star Trek in my top three. Talk about straddling the fence.

I'm not as much of a TNG guy. I like it, but it wasn't part of my Wonder Years.

All the Spidermans/villains showing up in No Way Home and Keaton's Batman supposedly showing up in the new Flash movie is insane to me. Hell, they need to have Keaton do a whole miniseries as old-Batman.

The Hollywood term for these are "legacy sequels."

I don't think anyone has come close to the perfection that is William Zabka as Johnny.

I'd take a Batman Beyond movie/series with Keaton as old Batman.

Of the recent "legacy sequels", this one still makes me so happy. I know the movie had flaws, but I still love Tron: Legacy so much......

Last time I saw Crowe, he was big enough to play the ship.

I'm right behind you wanting this, but the answer is something like: lack of success from the movie, expense of production, and lack of parts for women.

Wish they would finally do Spaceballs 2 with this same movie title.

While "Spaceballs 2: The Search for More Money" is the "canon" title of a Spaceballs sequel, "Spaceballs 2: The Schwartz Awakens" would also work for me.

This is a well known industry phenomenon and there's quite a bit more than your brief listing.

They're making a History of the World: Part 2, so there's still hope.
