My top album during the decade:
70s: Grease Soundtrack
80s: Bon Jovi- Slippery When Wet
90s: Guns n Roses- Use your Illusion
00s: Matchbox 20 - Mad Season
2010s: Sturgill Simpson - Metamodern Sounds in Country Music

My top albums from the decade now:
70s: WAY too many to choose from. The greatest decade of music in history. I'll pick ZZ Top's First Album as a token answer. This decade has the Eagles, Boston, Waylon- Ol' Waylon, Willie Nelson- Red Headed Stranger, Jimmy Buffet - Changes in Latitudes, a few by the Stones, Pink Floyd, Zeppelin, The Who, Queen, Clapton , the last Beatles album, Van Halen, Springsteen, Creedence, the Kinks, and many, many more.

80s: Guns n Roses - Appetite for Destruction
90s: Collective Soul- Hints, Allegations and things left unsaid
00s: The White Stripes- Elephant
2010s: Sturgill Simpson - Metamodern Sounds in Country Music

70's: The Wall (Pink Floyd)
80's: Synchronicity (Police) & The Joshua Tree (U2)
90's: Ten (PearlJam)
00's: The Eminem Show (Eminem)
10's: AM (Arctic Monkeys) & Blurryface (21 Pilots)
20's: The Rise & Fall of Loverboy (Sir Sly)

The 70's was the hardest decade for me. I chose The Wall over Dark Side of the Moon due to it being a double album. Also considered Darkness on the Edge of Town, Goodbye Yellow Brick Road, Hotel California, The Stranger, Breakfast in America, The Cars and Candy-O, Frampton Comes Alive . . .

I considered Back in Black and Duke (Genesis) for the 80's
