Pretty good little thriller.

At 89 minutes (with credits), it's incredibly tight, and almost feels like a long episode of TV more than anything. Just super bare bones, but in a good way; like if Hitchcock somehow directed a '90s thriller using/centered around modern tech, where every last beat paid off, but challenged himself to make it the shortest movie he possibly could.

And yes, it's a little silly and cliche and obvious at times, but purposefully so - it leans into that stuff - and then the last 15 minutes or so kind of come out of no where (while somehow making complete sense) to really make the whole movie. It's actually kind of awesome.

Anyway, at the very least, you know you're getting something solid with Soderbergh, and this one is no different. It dropped on HBO Max this past Thursday, as an HBO Max original, so it's not one that will ever go to theaters or leave the service after 30 days. It's there to stay, and definitely worth your time...

Guess I'll have to watch rest of it. Turned it off after about 45 min.

Saw it pop up last night, thanks for the review. Maybe with that review I can get my wife to watch it instead of more Sweet Magnolia trash.

HBO recommended it yesterday, but I couldn't get the app to work long enough to get the movie started. Maybe I'll try again tonight.
