The first two Bioshocks are my two favorite video games of all time. The series as a whole does a really good job at critiquing early 20th century conservatism and 1950s liberalism, but I'm not sure how this would be done fairly in modern day Hollywood. I think this is probably 10 years too late, maybe it'll be done well, but I hope it doesn't turn into "white men are evil".

If they didn't give up on it after Super Mario Bros, what makes you think they'd do so after any of those?

Movies are most likely to fail but the Witcher has been pretty fun at least.

Yeah... but that's more based off a book series than a game.

You just know they're going to work in racism, the patriarchy, etc. Into the social fabric of the story instead of sticking with what actually worked in the original story

So sticking to the original story then. Bioshock had all of those elements.
