George Carlin's American Dream
HBO Max
Fantastic.
I always liked him, but to see this side and depth. Beautiful.

Was he confused about what a man and woman is? Did he want teachers to talk about gender and sexuality with 6-7 year olds behind parents backs? Was he constantly b*tching about phantom white supremacy or toxic masculinity? I think he'd HATE all the woke crap of today. Kind of how Bill Maher does.Duncan Idaho said:
When do I start complaining about how woke he was?

Carlin was a lot smarter than Maher
Carlin had more talent in his little finger.Ervin Burrell said:
He certainly wasn't (or would have been) "woke" but he sure as sh/t leaned decidedly left - see his views on religion, abortion, capitalism, etc. Best part about him is he was about as anti-PC as it gets. The comparison to Maher is pretty fair, though Carlin is obviously a much funnier guy.

Please tell me you are joking
Not really...he even starts with "I would defend to the death his right to do what he does...". He doesn't say "he needs to lose his job and his life and his family's life should be ruined.Macarthur said:Ervin Burrell said:

Sounds pretty woke to me.
I would pay obscene amounts of money to hear his commentary on the last 2 presidential elections.oragator said:
Not to mention he spent plenty of time mocking the other side too.
He was an honest guy with opinions that weren't rooted in a political party or other artificial construct. Sometimes I agreed with him, sometimes I didn't, but he always made you think because his opinions were rooted in logic and not blind aherance to an ideology. We need more people like him today.
But just imagine if he were still alive, the field day he would be having.
. He made the same lame argument for abortion that conservatives only care about the baby in the womb but don't care after it's born. It's an intellectually dishonest argument and always has been.oragator said:

An almagamation of Maher and Russell Brand is where I'd put it and as a modern individual he would absolutely be labeled as a militant "woke". He has the same disdain for establishment that the MAGA crowd has, but from the opposite side. He had no problem calling America a racist nation built on hypocrisy.Ervin Burrell said:

He's more like Ricky Gervais. Not woke. He wouldn't be afraid to make the same jokes that Gervais is getting torched for this week. I can absolutely see him delivering that exact same trans bit that Gervais opened this special with
