Maybe it was his skin which was never good, but it seemed like he looked like hell any time I saw him over the last several years. Don't know if it was just due to getting old or not being that well

I think he was a heavy smoker in his younger years.

My favorite piece of acting from Ray Liotta was from Goodfellas (shocker) during the scene where his character and Jimmy/De Niro went over to Morrie's shop to rough him up for money. In like 30 seconds he showed semi-concern for his semi-friend in Morrie, laughed at/with Jimmy when Jimmy roughed him up enough where Morrie's wig fell off, and then legitimate concern/anger when his wife called him about the neighbor being an ******* to her.

It's kind of a breezy scene in the larger scheme of Goodfellas, but he nailed it. He was so great in that movie. RIP.

What a bummer. He's in two of my favorite movies, Goodfellas and Field of Dreams. I'll typically watch any movie that he is in. Great actor.
