I was thinking the motorcycle, the dog, then the car, then the lingerie brand, and then finally the band

Rik Emmett is an unreal guitarist. Fun fact: he's lefthanded. He decided using his dominant hand on the fretboard made more sense than picking. That's a level of ambidexterity that I know nothing about.

Great vocalist live back in the day as well. He nailed his high notes every time.

Gil Moore tended to suck live.

Triumph was a great band back in the day but when was the last time you heard one of their songs on a streaming device, radio, SiriusXM?

El Cuento del Gadjo is one of my favorites.

I'm left handed
play guitar right handed.

It's pretty common really.

In my mind, it does make more sense that your dominant hand is doing the fretting.. it requires much more ability/dexterity than strumming or picking.

Think of piano.. dominant hand does the 'soloing', left hand just does chords.

Huh. I can't imagine doing that,

Here's some major Canadianness.

playing guitar isn't a natural thing to do in the first place.. like, at all. (hence the learning curve for most people)

So when you first pick up a guitar and start to play/learn, which ever orientation it is, that is likely going to be the one that you feel natural playing.

had I first picked up a LH guitar 30 years ago, I'd probably play LH to this day. But I didn't, I picked up a RH guitar, even though I write, throw, etc with my left. My brain didn't simply know any better.

Same with drums IMO.
