I don't know if any of you have ever seen this ridiculous reality show on USA (I think) called "Chrisley Knows Best," starring this weird flamboyant guy in Georgia and his dumb family as they navigate life managing a real estate company.

The family lived a very luxurious lifestyle, with Todd, the main protagonist of the series, often dressing in outlandish and expensive outfits.

Anyway, turns out they were committing fraud. They were acquitted in Georgia state court with rumors of shenanigans and political connections aiding their case, but the Feds weren't so nice.

Despite showing flashy amounts of wealth, he and his wife went four years straight without filing income taxes at all. They were charged with committing fraud against banks by filing false financial paperwork.

He and his wife got convicted today.

That's not all. Chrisley filed a ridiculous defamation suit against a YouTuber and following that case has been wildly entertaining.

I was about to say, I've seen maybe two commercials for that show, and in addition to tax fraud, it was immediately obvious that his wife should be suing him for fraud of another sort as well.

I watched this show for awhile. Chrisley was actually a Paul Lynde type, really caustic and funny.

But after a season or two, it all started to wear on me. The fake setups were just too outlandish. I realize it's a "reality show" and some of that is a given, but the situations they came up with were just ridiculous.

I had no clue about any of this. Had caught a few episodes of the show when my wife had it on. Certainly felt like something was off about them, but it was not this.

I know a guy that was involved in contract discussions for marketing and strategy while he (my buddy) was in Georgia and he said that the Chistley dude was nothing like his shows and the acting on the show is just a show and he is actually a pretty shrewd business man when it comes to negotiations and doesn't have any of the gay tendencies that are portrayed in the show.


I guess he really is a fraud
