I think the only reason I knew her at the time was "This Woman's Work" from the movie She's Having a Baby. That was a pretty solid song, but not a chart topper.

I've heard the song many times and liked it since the 80s, but I have never seen that video for it. Unfortunately I can't unsee it now...not my cup of tea (I loathe 'interpretive dance').

Anytime I hear interpretive dance, I think back to a loft party I went to in dumbo I went to when my wife and I were dating when we both lived in NYC. A friend of hers invited her, so we went. The loft had amazing views of the Brooklyn Bridge and Manhattan. It was a bunch of trust fund kids and terrible hipsters. They were showing some avant-garde movies on a projection screen, which were terrible, but I just kept drinking. At some point, they cleared the "living room" area and a bunch of hipster d-bags pit on an interpretive dance show. It was beyond terrible. /deardiary

I think I was at the same party...different neighborhood and a different day, and a 'dramatic reading' instead of dancing, but it was the same.
