There's *at least* three threads on this movie already. Just Google "texags 'the batman.'" They're so easy to find that it always comes across as weird/showy when people do this, ill-intent or not. It was that, combined with the fact that this is one of the most universally loved/respected blockbusters of the past decade, emphatically so. So it just felt doubly "look at me" to sh*t on it in this way, especially when you didn't add much to the conversation. On a person note, it also rubs me the wrong way when people knock something *this* well made for being "slow." First of all, slow isn't always bad - even though I didn't find this movie slow at all. Secondly, a lot of the time, when people get mad at something like this for being "slow," what they often really mean is that they instead wanted something less thoughtful, with more Michael Bay 'splosions or whatever. And I'll take thoughtful or mindlessness all day long. So, all of that combined = my reaction. Apologies if it offended you, but it was mainly just a joke more than anything.
