Just rewatched the Rocky series and Creed I &II with the kids over the last several evenings. Got me to thinking if there has ever been anything on film that can match the natural aging of the central character and if not will there ever be another? There is a lot of hilarity between the original Rocky and Creed II but both of the bookends are more drama in nature than quirky and deserve a lot of praise for Sly's acting and storylines. With the exception of Rocky 3 and 5, I think it is an exceptional storyline. Having the same actor from the 70s through 2018 and watching him age is something I'm not sure we will ever see again. Unless Tom Cruise makes another Top Gun in about 15 years.
