Murdered in broad daylight

Not trying to be disrespectful but it's odd to me how many rappers have been murdered within the last few years and once the news comes out all these people start posting & tweeting about them yet I never once heard their name before. And I get that it's not my genre of choice but with the amount of people mourning the dead you'd think I'd at least heard the name before. My head isn't in the sand when it comes to rap even though I prefer not to listen to much of it.
But my point is people that I follow on Twitter will post about them like it's a huge loss when I've never once seen those same people mention them before. Or people post on messages boards I frequent after the person is gone without ever posting about them when they were alive. I'm not talking about news stories.BowSowy said:
I sort of feel the same way, but I think it's just a product of us getting older. "Underground" rap has had a renaissance via soundcloud, and I know that's a medium that I will not engage with.
