Now she can smoke legal weed while watching Hallmark movies. That should make them more enjoyable.

Cheese straws
Savory mini turnovers

Kale chips
Cucumber slices and carrot sticks with hummus.

Always some sort of hot tea
Made with loose leaf tea leaves of course.

My wife is obsessed with these too. They aren't terrible watching, usually they are attractive people in interesting locations. MY favorite is trying to annoy her buy guessing the plot solely on the title, pointing out the tropes, and guessing the ending correctly.

I love Hallmark Christmas movies!

They keep my wife occupied while I hunt or do nerdy things in my office.

The funny part is that she's always like "you're going to have to go find yourself something to do because I'm watching Christmas movies." Oh....darn.

company hires management consultant to travel to factory location in New England village right before Christmas to analyze operations and make recommendation to shut down the company. He/She is a big city slicker and hates the country/loves the big city lights.

While there he/she sees genuine community for the first time, and at first laughs about it as if he/she is too sophisticated for such things. But then he/she continues to notice the innate goodness in all the locals. He/She starts to see a very eligible and amazingly attractive village member of the opposite sex each day in town. This person is a talented woodworker/fireman/shop owner with the most beautiful golden retriever and great Jeep.

As fate would have it, he/she has to stay in the village alone over Christmas because the roads are closed. The Village adopts this person and he/she has the greatest Christmas ever. Culminating with a romantic liaison with the amazingly attractive village member.

He/she then has to return to the big city to give their advice to shut down the factory and kill the town. But on the drive back he/she keeps thinking about the people. He/she turns around and heads back and calls their boss and says the factory should stay open. He/she can fix the issue.

He/She walks up to the fabulous home of the amazingly attractive villager right as the sun is setting and snow is falling. You can see the glow of the fireplace in the windows and a small party of Villagers in the home. He/She knocks and the door and then is in full embrace with the amazingly attractive villager. Cut to credits.

My mom loved these movies. I'll watch them now with my wife out of nostalgia, remembering coming home to visit my folks on weekends. They're oddly comforting.

I like the variety in the movie poster.
Sometimes the guy wears green and the girl red, sometimes the girl wears green and the guy is red.

Just kidding....dude wear green.

I'm a sucker for Christmas flicks and usually watch all the new ones I can - but not until after Thanksgiving!

As for Christmas movie snacks...gotta be my homemade buttermilk pound cake and chocolate chip cookies.

Betting two of those three movies have a Christmas cookie making scene where someone gets flour on their face and the other person cleans it off to make first intimate contact.

Small-town girl in the big city with a heart of gold and big city guy love interest goes home for Christmas...

Meets 'rough but chizzled' small town guy who helps her out
Gets back to her roots
Talks with wise old woman
Gets inspired by a young child
Decorates for Christmas and remembers the old days
Falls in love with 'rough but chizzled' small town guy
She just can't decide, y'all
It's so difficult
Gets called back by her big city job
She still can't decide
Realizes she wants the small town guy and small town lifestyle on Christmas Eve

Only if the woman in the movie has the first of the three occupations for women allowed in these movies: Baker, bed and breakfast owner, or overworked executive of unstated job.

I dont live in the same town as my 87 year old mother, so when i visit i feel obliged to do whatever she wants, and a Hallmark movie watch party is pretty much tradition now. I know far too much about Lacey Charbert, or whatever her name is, than i care to admit.

When you visit this town, do you ever have a flat tire? Does a local carpenter with rugged good looks help you change it? Is he wearing flannel?
