In Bruges is one of my fav movies.
A big reason for that is how it was a very good dark humor movie that sprinkled in some true heartbreaking sorrow filled moments.
Ferrell's occasional emotional break downs, especially when he was going to kill himself However, it jumped quickly back into dark humor so not as to get too depressing.
Banshees, at least the last act, just seems to wallow in depressing sorrow. Instead of dark humor sprinkled with real sorrow, it is dark humor that is sprinkled in on top of sorrow.
Still a good flick, but probably not one I want to watch again, whereas I will stop what I'm doing to watch Bruges any time I come across it.
