I saw a tweet saying that if the movie Passengers was told through JLaw's perspective, waking up and us not knowing Chris Pratt woke her up, it could suddenly turn into a good thriller with her slowly becoming suspicious of him and him finally admitting what he did.

Got me thinking, what other movies could do something similar?

The first thing that came to mind was The Truman Show. How mind-blowing would it have been for us to discover, along with Truman, that his entire life has been a lie? Granted you probably have to change the title of the movie for that to work, but man, that would be such a memorable twist in a movie.

Jurassic Park told from the dinosaurs perspective. Waking up in an electrified cage that goes against every fiber of your being. Finding yourself oogled and paraded around by strange creatures that communicate in a foreign manner. Having all of your basic instincts suppressed to the point of madness.

Maybe then you'll understand why the dinosaurs needed to break out to be able to survive.

If the movie is told from Truman's perspective, we don't know anything about his life being a tv show until he starts discovering it himself.

Avatar should be told from the point of the heroic humans 50 billion miles from home putting up with psychotic unkempt aliens who won't share their minerals that they don't even use for jack ****, then brainwashing one of our own into a Stockholm Syndrome situation where he turns traitor, plunging us into an economic nightmare.

Titanic told from the point of the ice berg, minding its own damn business when a ship which has the whole ****ing ocean to sail through runs right into it.

You could seriously tell Black Panther from MIchael B Jordan's POV and it would be great. You wouldn't even know he was the villain until deep into the movie.

Se7en from John Doe's perspective.

I don't know but for me I feel like Austin Butler's performance as Elvis was wasted in a movie told from Col Tom Parker's perspective. Butler was phenomenal but I don't think I would watch the film again as I was put off by the Parker narrative and the weird accent Hanks used.

WE knew it was a lie, but Truman didn't. That's the point of the thread. Change the movie to Truman's POV and we learn along with him that it's a lie.

It'd have to be a sequel, not a replacement, in order to not screw up the ending of the original. But it'd be interesting to see his thought processes, etc. as it all begins and unfolds.

The whole point of the title and the plot is that he had become a legendary predator to the infected and he was essentially their boogeyman. The kids that he found were wards that were sent to lure him into a trap, they were on the infected side the whole time. Will Smith could have pulled it off, it was the sorry script that took it off it's rails.

Sergeant Dignam(Mark Walberg's character) in "the Departed". Between his crude personality and his role in the overall clean up, it would add a hilarious second level to the story.

Teen Wolf 'bad' guy who had to compete against someone with superhuman jumping\playing abilities who shouldn't have been allowed to play in the first place. Then this same wolf sleeps with his girl and dumps her. And he assaults him with claws at a dance. Teen wolf should have been expelled but wasn't because the principal was physically threatened by middle-aged wolf.

Sure regular human defeated the antagonist at the end but his journey to the end of the movie was a shadow of his former self directly caused by the wild antics of Teen wolf
